I am Guadalupe Jiménez, a professional translator with over 5 years of experience specializing in Mandarin Chinese to Spanish and English translation. My main focus is on technical, legal, and commercial translation, as well as content localization for various sectors. I am committed to delivering precise translations that respect both the original message and the cultural nuances of the involved languages.

Since January 2020, I have been working as a freelance translator, translating legal documents, contracts, technical manuals, websites, and marketing materials from Mandarin Chinese to Spanish and English. Additionally, I have worked on content localization for technology and e-commerce companies operating in Chinese markets. I also review and edit texts translated by other professionals and collaborate with translation agencies and direct clients to meet deadlines and maintain the high quality standards required.

Previously, I worked as a Mandarin Chinese translator and editor at ABC Translation Agency in Madrid from June 2017 to December 2019. I was responsible for translating technical reports and commercial contracts for multinational companies, as well as editing translated texts to ensure consistency, fluency, and accuracy in the target languages. I also coordinated multilingual projects while working with international teams.

I started as a translation assistant at Company X in Beijing, China, from January 2015 to May 2017. In this role, I supported the translation of emails, internal documents, and business communications from Mandarin to Spanish, as well as providing interpretation services in meetings and conferences between Spanish-speaking teams and Chinese-speaking teams.

Regarding my academic background, I hold a Master’s degree in Translation and Intercultural Communication from the University of Salamanca (2016-2017) and a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Philology from the Complutense University of Madrid (2008-2013). I also hold several certifications, including Certified Professional Translator (ATA) from the American Translators Association (2019) and the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) Level 6 (2014), which certifies my advanced proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.

My skills include proficiency in Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools such as SDL Trados Studio, MemoQ, and Wordfast, and my specialties cover technical, legal, commercial, e-commerce, and web localization.
